Gaze into our depths: we are the Emerald,
Everlasting and leafy, like the soul of the oceans,
Where perfumes roam through the warm night,
And flows the wave of the great angels of the wind.

We are the enormous and murmurous forest,
Overflowing with dazzled shadows and sombre splendour,
Breathing and living, where a thousand golden birds sing,
Where the peaks burst into a foam of flowers.

Ever since the original breath and the first dawn,
With ceaseless striving and endless desire,
Together we climb from the entrails of the earth
Toward that wondrous treasure you alone have reached.

Together, we its voice, we its deep soul,
Within this vast foliage, turned green ever more,
We have dreamed all of the dreams on earth
And have grown old on the shores of the sun.

Alcest — Là Où Naissent Les Couleurs Nouvelles
I have always lived here yet
such a wandering stranger
on this land — forsaken,
in perpetual detachment.
I hear within me the cry of another universe
which echoes bitterly.

Eyes rivited to the sky,
and carrying the burden of my body,
I perceive my home
lost in the storm clouds.
Too much weight here, stubborn arms
restraining passing spirits
on the verge of escape.

Down below I perceive my home,
her eternal meadows
lost in the storm clouds.
There where new colors are born,
there where my heart and my soul remained.

Rough translation,.. I have my standpoint on the song’s lyrical meaning, but I guess everyone should. My outlook probably paints the translations which I try to avoid, but the game of translating the sense of a phrase is fun. :S
